EURO 2012 - my message to Germans

Bitte nicht löschen meine Nachricht, auch wenn es hier nur in deutscher Sprache verfasst. Bitte versteht mich und nicht kritisieren.

Good morning all users!

My name is Simon. I'm 31 years old. I come from Poland (southwest part). I'm a master of political science. I'm a supporter of German national football team. I'm fan also another national teams: first Cameroon, second Mexico, third Turkey, four Argentina. I have quite big knowledge in football and another disciplines of sport like Formula 1, ski jumping, athletics, ice hockey.

What are the my relationship with Germany? My grandfather John Rozycki was born in Droennewitz (Mecklenburg) in 1922. He is still alive and he is 89 years old. He speaks german language, but I speak better english language than he speaks german. He learned to speak german language during The Second World War. He worked in 1941 - 1945 in upper Bavaria (Oberbayern). He worked on forced agricultural work at the farmer (bauer). This work was officially forced but he left from Poland at own request. He was respectable from farmer's family, he had food (common dinners with Germans), he had own bed, he lived better than in Poland before 1939. After he came back to Poland in 1945, he reached managerial job in career. Now he has a quiet life (5000 polish zlotych with wife). My second relationship with Germany is my visit in Germany in 1997 and 1998. Two times for three weeks in Osnabruck (Niedersachsen). I was in my uncle which surname is Mielczarek. He stayed in West Germany after Second World War. He speaks german fluently. His wife was sister of my grandfather. His childrens speak fluently polish and german, and his grandchildren speaks only german. This is cultural and decent family. I can't write something more, because they don't wish to tell about that. When I was in Germany in 1997 and 1998 I was silent like mouse. I couldn't find in polish company but I drove Volkswagen Golf II well. In 1998 I maked 1000 kilometres for three weeks in Osnabruck city and close area. You have great marked roads and very cultural drivers (stop when pedestrians cross a road).

I had watch football from childhood. World Championship in football is my favourite tournament, favourite event from all sport. I watched WC 1986 in Mexico, I watched WC 1990 in Italy, I watched WC 1994 in USA, I watched WC 1998 in France, I watched WC 2002 in South Korea and Japan, I watched WC 2006 in Germany, I watched WC 2010 in RSA. In last world championship in 2010 I watched all matches (64 - sixty four matches). Watching all matches on that tournament is very important to me. Why? Ever match is important, therefore I'm interested does some team win at least one game like Mexico with France in group stage. I don't like people who watching this tournament from semifinals. I watched Euro 1988 in West Germany (as eight years old boy I said that Holland will win in final 2:0 and we had that score). I watched Euro 1992 in Sweden, I watched Euro 1996 in England, I watched Euro 2000 in Belgium and Holland, I watched Euro 2004 in Portugal, I watched Euro 2008 in Austria and Switzerland. I watched all european cups finals in last 25 years, and I watched many, many others matches. In Poland exist opinion that if referee would saw 2:2 goal in match between Germany and England (WC 2010 - 1/8 final) this match would finish England victory. I say "no" on this opinion, because Germany was better than England and I think you would score on 3:2 and 4:2 even if England scored equalizing goal.

My message to Germans and in particular german football's fans is wish that you may want to play in Poland during EURO 2012. Groups A and C play in Poland. Groups B and D plays in Ukraine. Group A plays in Warsaw and Wroclaw. Group C plays in Gdansk and Poznan. If you will draw from second pot you may go to group with Poland in position A2. You will play two matches in Warsaw and one match in Wroclaw. You may go to group C on position C2 and then you will play one match in Gdansk and two matches in Poznan. Drawing group with Poland will be good options, because you may to win with Poland third time on big tournament in last years. Why do I think that you should to want play in Poland? Take into consideration that Wroclaw (Breslau), Gdansk (freie Stadt Danzig), were german cities before 1945 and Poznań was under german occupation before 1918. And Warsaw was this city who Nazis destroyed in 90% in 1944. Like I said I want that Germans would to say: we want german national football team play in Poland. You may make survey and Germans indicate do they want their team plays in Poland. Isn't it argument for you to want play in Poland? Therefore I would to say that germans fans/supporters will sing on Euro 2012's stadiums "We are at home" (if you draw group in Poland). If this sentence doesn't fit to singing you can scream it. "Auf Wiedersehen" is not enough.
Possible that many people will say that this message is strange and stupid, but science create me like wise person. I understood mathematics in primary school and logic on studies.

You qualified to Euro 2012 finals. But we have fight between Turkey and Belgium to take a second place. Belgium is weak. As you compared Poland to Belarus (football teams), so laugh and criticize Belgium. They can't qualify to big tournament from eight years (Euro 2004, WC 2006, Euro 2008 and WC 2010). Help Turkey to take second place and goes to play-off. Many people from this country live in Germany. Think last game with Belgium as important and win with them.

The best footballers from football's national team of Poland is Kuba Blaszczykowski. He succeeded in polish national team and Borussia Dortmund. Now is possible he is not in great form (substitution in BVB) but in my opinion he is biggest hope on Euro 2012 for Poland. He can influence on fate of the match, he has good technical shot, he is fast. After my words about Kuba probably many of Germans will laugh polish national football team. A few people knowing possibilities this polish player from Bundesliga can say that Poland is weak. This opinion about Blaszczykowski is mine, it can be subjective, but for sure he is leading person in polish team. Kuba Blaszczykowski is wise, he is wiser than Lewandowski. Kuba has better speech than Robert. I can compare him to Schweinsteiger. In my opinion he is best in Poland, but he is weaker than Schweinsteiger. Take consider on one thing. Poles, polish sport journalists said that Blaszczykowski is polish Ronaldo. If said that children who read "Bravo Sport" I will be understanding it, but journalists. Why not say that Kuba Blaszczykowski is polish Schweinsteiger. Bastian is one the best players on the world. Make comparison to the Germans which one of the best team in the world. Therefore, I say Blaszczykowski is polish Schweinsteiger, not Ronaldo.

I think Germany is biggest favourite to win EURO 2012 (Spain is second). Win this tournament and World Championship in Brazil - on South America zone. You have some great players as Thomas Mueller, Mesut Oezil, Sami Khedira but you have young players galaxy: Goetze, Reus, Schuerrle. Incredible team - in RSA you have very good team and now joined many, young talents. I would like that Miroslav Klose will be in good form and score a goals in Poland and Ukraine.

In the end I want to say that if we will have circumstances like during World War II Germans wouldn't kill me. Surrender and partnership - this is my strategy. Many people don't know that in 1939-1945 enough signed up documents and worked for Germans (Poles, not Judes). Individual interest higher than interest of my country.

With all due respect (especially considering the effort you have put in this piece), but don't you find the political complexion in your story a bit disturbing? Do you really think German-fans should express these kind of home-comming sentiments? I say we should be glad that there barely is a connection between sports events like this and politics, let alone a history of war. Let's just keep it that way. Cheers.

Also, the biggest favorite to win the tournament is of course Holland ‘;)

I'm with frnky here. I appreciate your input, but what's all this war-stuff about? Your last paragraph is a true 'What the fuck?'-moment, gotta give you that.

Fine Statement except the quotation.

Why "except"?

Cause both me and my son just bought "het elftal"-jerseys (home and away), knowing that number 1 in the world won't win the title - if this number 1 are the Netherlands :D .

Poles hate Germans, Germans hate Poles (we can say that despite political relations are good). I know it because during my education I heard how my polish friends said that they hate Germans. Many my new friends from Formula 1 forum said that they hate Germans. I still read and hear how we hate Germans in Poland. Listen I told with my friend in 2008, and he said that Poland was better than Germany in WC 2006. Wrong, it was on the contrary. Look who had more goal-situation in this match - Germany. Therefore german national football team was better in 2006, second time in 2008 and third time in 2011. I have so much bigger knowledge in sport than this guy. And take a look that I had a complex, trauma and therefore I try to find some kind of thing which Poles don't like... This trauma rised in contacts with Poles, so I stay negative to Poland. Perhaps would be the same in Germany, but this has become in Poland and I'm keep on it. I was other event in my life. In 2006 during travel by train which went on two hours I have told with my friends about Germany. All of them said that Germany haven't got a chance in World Championship 2006. I was their opponent. I said that Germany will take a medal. I had a right. They did a mistake, important mistake. And therefore: this guy who said that Germany was better than Poland in 2006 and these friends who said that Germany hasn't got a chance in WC 2006 - that is experience of my life, which cause that I'm supporter/fan of german national football team and that I want to Germans will scream something like "We are at home". Isn't a reason for you? Do you really think that I still repeated: Germany has got a chance and nothing more? I knew Germany's squad and I knew that Germany playes as host country. They said Germany won't qualified to 1/8 final, I said that Germany will reach medals zone. I'm a winner after these two conversations.
Reply closely to your message, I want to say that history is the best way to divide two nationalities. Polish lands were german in the other day. It is more important than fact that your cars have been stolen by Poles, and this is going to continue. Be conscious advantage Germany over Poland - in football and economy. I would like to see that Germans in Euro 2012 will show their superiority. It would be a something original if germans fans will scream in Wroclaw (Breslau) that you are at home. Cause I have trauma after my ten years writing on polish forums, I try find something what will be negative for Poles, and I want that you will show in 2012 that you are better (especially in tournament). And fact that these lands were german a much time ago is good quarrel point, also for young Germans. This is mark which make impression in history and Germans should remember about that.
I don't call politically to Poland give these lands back, but I have chosen this fact for Germans to show that you are proud of themselves and get Poles to nervous. In this way we will have more fun, emotions.

I wrote, that I want to see survey, which Germans would say do they want to play in Poland. Why nobody from Germans didn't wrote even if one sentence: Does he want Germany play in Poland or Ukraine? If you are not interested or caring about that, tell me about this.

Also, the biggest favorite to win the tournament is of course Holland ‘;)

You are Dutchman. Your opinion is subjective. In my opinion order is: Germany, Spain, Holland. What are my arguments against Holland? It is quarterfinal in RSA with Brazil. You won with Brasil and qualified to semifinal fortunately. First, equalizing goal for Holland is oddity. Cross ball and own goal by Melo. Holland didn't work very hard to score this goal, they hadn't got any chances and advantage. And one important thing: Brasil was better in first half. Second goal to 2:1 for Holland was after cross ball from corner and it was once again a goal which didn't score after positional attack. Germany showed better football than Holland, although Germany was third, and Holland was second. And therefore Germany was so very good in World Championship in 2010 and... taking into consideration to this team joined Goetze, Schuerrle, Germany is a biggest favourite.

Probably after this text many people from Germany and Poland will treat me as hooligan. I say objection to this opinion. Outlook divides us. Password, motto which they announce: "God, honour, homeland" is nothing for me. I'm aware that this social group when they will read above conversation might beat me and even kill me.

That wouldn't be original, that would be stupid. Screaming that you're at home, when you're not at home, doesn't fool criminals anymore. They'll shoot the breeze while they rob your place, cause they know that you're in Wrocław and NOT at home. You can scream all you want, you won't vex them.

The Count
I'm undecided: Yes, I'd like Germany to play in Poland, the reason being the close ties of German players like Poldi and Klose to Polen and the ties of Polish players to Germany, i.e. the Bundesliga; also, of course, because of the ties between the two countries as neighbours.

But then, no, I don't want Germany to play in Poland. There's too many idiot fans on both sides, and I can easily imagine a lot of nasty stuff going on that nobody can be proud of or will be happy about.

if germany plays poland: ok
if germany doesn't play poland: ok as well

poland as the group lead would be much easier to play than spain or the netherlands, of course. but that said, if you want to advance to the final you don't care who's in your group, you have to beat at least 2 of them.

from the "third half" perspective, it doesn't matter, either. the ec is in poland, if germany plays within polish frontiers, there will be idiots on both sides that find a way to start the crap. no need to have a specific poland-germany game for that.

We played a pretty good second half against Brazil, then we beat Uruguay fairly easy and if Arjen Robben's left-foot had been a bit more accurate we would have beaten Spain.

(...too bad the Germans didn't make it to the final we would have crushed them, but I can't say that out loud here:zahnluec:)
