"Borussia Monchengladbach are set to land Norwegian international Hassan El Fakiri.

The 28-year-old has travelled to Germany to sign a two-year contract, after leaving Monaco on a free transfer.

The midfielder's agent Per A. Flod has confirmed that his client has snubbed four Norwegian clubs in order to move to Die Bundesliga.

"The transfer is done," Flod told VG.

"We have reached an agreement about a two-year contract. Hassan is flying to Germany now and will sign tomorrow.

"He knew he wanted to extend his career abroad. Therefore, he's pleased now that things are in place."

Flod also revealed that the offer from Borussia was far superior to that of Bundesliga rivals Kaiserslautern."
